Inside the Queenston Chapel

The original authentic gothic-styled stained glass windows and graceful curved oak pews tie in nicely with the new wood flooring.

The pews and altar are decorated for your convenience, however, décor may be brought in to highlight your personal style. Our floral designer is also available to create seasonal pieces to accentuate your winter theme. You may contact Meagyn at flowers@niagaraparks.com

The Queenston Chapel

We are also excited to mention that the Chapel now offers a sound system with CD, ipod and mp3 capability. If you would like a more traditional experience for your ceremony, an electric organ is also available.

Our historic Chapel accommodates up to 100 guests and has free parking; located right beside Laura Secord Homestead.

Meagyn Kryger

Meagyn is a graduate of Niagara College with a Horticultural Diploma. It was during her college co-op at a local flower shop when she fell in love with flowers and developed her talent for floral designing. Twelve years later, she hasn’t left the industry.

Meagyn has gained experience through working at and freelancing for a number of flower shops in the area, as well as owning her own business. She has developed and designed numerous decor plans and floral arrangements for wedding and corporate events within the Niagara Region. Functions have ranged from an intimate wedding of 10 to a New Year’s Eve party of 900.

Meagyn has branched out into other creative fields such as interior decorating, visual merchandising and window design stating, “These fields use many of the same design techniques as floral designing. It’s understanding how to use visual balance, proportion, movement and harmony within a design to have an attractive final product.”

Born and raised in Niagara, Meagyn says, “I am blessed to live in such a beautiful area and truly excited about coming on board with the Niagara Parks Commission. The wedding industry here is alive and there are so many spectacular venues to have a wedding. The flowers will just compliment the already gorgeous surroundings here in Niagara Falls.”
“I have a true passion for what I do. Each client and event is different from the next. After a consultation my imagination starts working. I get excited about how things are going to look. The Niagara Parks Commission is pleased to announce the 1st Annual Showcase of Niagara’s Chefs that will take place at Table Rock on Sunday, April 3 from 12 – 4 p.m.

Executive Chefs from well known properties throughout the city have created an irresistible menu that highlights the creative ability and skill found right here in Niagara. Niagara Parks is pleased to present talented guest chefs: Claudio Mollica of Casa Mia Ristorante, John Tennier and Matt Atkinson from Remingtons of Niagara, Angelo Melchiorre of Casa Vostra and Matt Marazzo from Carpaccio Restaurant and Wine Bar. Niagara Parks’ very own Paul Pennock C.C.C. of Elements on the Falls, Elbert Wiersema of Queenston Heights Restaurant and Sidney Krick of Edgewaters Tap & Grill will also be participating in this charitable event.

Held within Elements on the Falls Restaurant and Table Rock’s Grand Hall overlooking the Falls, participants are invited to mingle and explore each chef’s offerings as well as a fine selection of cheese from Cheese Monger, Roger K. Thompson of The Cheese Truckle. Special sweets prepared by Niagara Parks’ Pastry Chef Francesca Della Manna and Niagara Ices from Italian Ice Cream Chef, Andrew Vergalito will round out the menu. The following local wineries will also be on site providing samples: Stoney Ridge, Mike Weir, Chateau des Charmes, Reif, Jackson Triggs as well as a new product sampling by Molson. Special draws are also planned in support of the charities.

TICKETS
Tickets are limited and are $65 each, which includes tax and gratuity. Purchase in advance at the participating restaurants (except Queenston Heights and Edgewaters) or the Cheese Truckle, and parking is free (a $20 value). All proceeds support the Greater Niagara General Hospital Foundation and the Walker Family Cancer Centre’s It’s Our Time campaign.

Established in 1885, it is NPC’s mandate to preserve, protect and enhance Niagara Falls and the Niagara River Corridor for the enjoyment of visitors, all while remaining financially self-sufficient.
